'NJWEEDMAN' REACHES NEW ENTREPRENEURIAL HIGH WITH HIS 'JOINT'

TRENTON 420-FRIENDLY ENTERTAINMENT EMPORIUM DEDICATED TO CELEBRATING 'CANNABIS CULTURE' EXPANDS PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE AMID NATIONWIDE CONSUMER BRANDING PLANS

TRENTON, NJ (Nov. 14, 2019) - Notorious, and often-outrageous, cannabis advocate and visionary Edward "NJWeedman" Forchion is capitalizing on his popular groundbreaking 420-friendly lounge concept - a restaurant, performance venue and "safe space" for medical-marijuana consumers - by hitting a new high in what has become a burgeoning business empire.

Almost organically, Forchion and his partner, Debi Madaio, are growing their business operation, NJWEEDMAN'S JOINT - strategically located across the street from Trenton City Hall - by expanding the Joint's entertainment schedule. Now, the venue functions during the day as a restaurant with an emphasis on healthy dining - while offering live music, comedy and wellness activities six nights a week:

  • Tuesday: "Bend & Blaze" Yoga
  • Wednesday: Open mic
  • Thursday through Sunday: Live music, freestyling and comedy

Another aspect of the Joint is the online store (www.njweedmansjoint.com/online-store), where the national branding of NJWeedman heats up through merchandising with a variety of pot-related items, including a full line of NJWeedman CBD products and outerwear, which will soon be offered for sale.

According to Forchion, a national media figure who was advocating - and risking arrest and incarceration - for legalization more than two decades before the overwhelming majority of state residents supported it (62 percent according to various surveys), the expanded entertainment schedule and the NJWeedman brand is a mission statement of sorts.

"We're already a safe haven for those in the know because of our backyard gathering garden, café, and lounge," he says. "Adding a full slate of live bands, comedy and other events, while upping our game as a place to heal, and expanding our national merchandise brand, will turn the Joint into the mecca for cannabis culture that I've always envisioned."

The phrase "cannabis culture" is the key to the Joint's "big picture." Now that society in general, and politics in particular, appear to be catching up to Forchion's weed-positive philosophy, he and Madaio, a registered nurse, are energized and inspired to ensure that the Joint becomes the ultimate secure, stress-free and wellness-focused gathering place for those who already embrace cannabis and its many benefits, as well as the "cannabis-curious."

To that end, the restaurant and nighttime activities schedule are just two primary elements of the Joint. There is also the Liberty Bell Temple III, the adjacent space where those who have been sanctioned by the state to avail themselves of medical marijuana can join a community of fellow medical tokers in a safe, welcoming environment.

Ultimately, Forchion and Madaio - both business and life partners - envision their 420-friendly entertainment emporium as the vehicle by which they can effect positive change in the world. As Forchion says: "We believe that cannabis can help us overcome the differences between our tribes and nations and help us find peace with each other and with the Earth."

NJWeedman's Joint is located at 322 E. State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608, directly across the street from Trenton City Hall. Hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Contact the Joint at (609) 437-0898. More info at www.njweedmansjoint.com.
